Brand identity, naming, positioning and launch for Lick, the new chain of consumer tech stores specialised in Smart objects and wearables

Bye bye JB HiFI

A french entrepreneur was launching a new hi-tech retail chain.  The concept was "High fashion for Hi-tech" a carefully curated selection of only the coolest and latest computer and phone accessories.

 

We decided to create a new brand: LICK, and positioned it as the only place where you can find not only the most beautiful, but also the smartest of smart objects and devices.

 

LICK – we created a name inspired by the french word for window-shopping « leche vitrine » (literally « window licking »)

All of the highly desirable gadgets were sourced and curated from all over the web by users.

A brand book that explains Lick's values 
(translation : you can search on Google, but even 2 millions results won't tell you which one to buy)

 A dedicated personnalised plateform, where we built a community of "lickers" who can act, curate and propose new product.
